Welcome to the Drama Department
In Frederick Gough School we believe that the confidence of a child is very important for him/herself and for her/his learning in other subjects and drama strengthens this by giving the students the skills to apply to real life situations.
In key stage 3, Drama is taught fortnightly and assessed practically. At the end of each half term there is a formal assessment.
In Year 7 lessons concentrate on the development of group work and the students' ability to produce short sketches in a limited amount of time. Most importantly it provided the opportunity to build the students' confidence.
In key stage 4 there are currently 6 option groups, as it is a popular choice.
Drama Clubs are held at lunchtimes in each year group
