The House System
Every pupil at Frederick Gough is a member of one of our four houses, participating in events from sports to arts, crafts, and quizzes throughout the year.
Newton House
Named after Sir Isaac Newton, the brilliant scientist who explained the force of gravity.
Harrison House
Named after John Harrison, inventor of the marine chronometer for navigating at sea.
Tennyson House
Named after Alfred Lord Tennyson, one of Britain's greatest poets and Poet Laureate to Queen Victoria.
Wesley House
Named after John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement and one of the 100 Greatest Britons.
House Captains
House events are organised and run with the support of our House Captains, a prestigious leadership role in the school. Captains can be identified by the special coloured tie they wear, representing their house.
