📚 Literacy
Focused on etymology and meanings. Students study a different word twice every fortnight to widen vocabulary and make connections between word roots.
🗣️ Read Aloud
Students listen to a book from our reading canon (classic to modern dystopian) read by staff while following along, designed to engage students with literature.
🌍 Assembly & WOW
Themed assemblies covering universal and spiritual topics. "Word of the Week" (WOW) videos further explore British Values, citizenship, and moral issues.
📝 Prep Support
Dedicated time for Years 7-9 to review assigned prep (via Frog), understand tasks, and plan when and where they will complete their work.
🤝 Mentoring
Support for PREP (Years 7-9) and GCSE preparation (Year 11). Includes 1:1 sessions and peer mentoring from Year 10 Pupil Equity Advocates.
🧠 How to Revise
Short sessions for Year 11 on revision techniques and maintaining good physical/mental health during high-pressure exam seasons.
